New exhibition “Reasons of gravity” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mexico opened in the Polytechnic Museum at VDNH.
In 2014 a group of Mexican media artists performed training flights in the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarin. After this experiment there was a mobile exhibition project made named the “Reasons of gravity” that presented a creative look at the phenomenon of gravity. In October 2014 the first presentation of this project was made in Moscow.
Visitors can also see the installations, videos, photo and audio works of such artists as Al de la Puente “Eternity in the absence of predestination”; Arhanhel Constantini “Esferika”; Fabiola Torres Altzaga “Setting the scene”; Gilberto Esparza “Wandering at the frequency 0.1428 Hz”; Ivan Puiga “Classical decay”; Juan Jose Diaz Infante “Your body, my body”; Marcela Armas “Geopsiy”; Nahum “Holding the air”; Tanya Kandiani “Flying Machine. Benier, 1673” and two collective project “Nucleus”"(10 objects) and “Supernova” (video).
The scientific consultant of the exhibition is a physicist Miguel Alcubierre, a graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, PhD of University of Wales (Cardiff, UK), and a specialist in the general theory of relativity by Einsteine. Alcubierre deals with the creation of a computer simulation of black holes collision and gravitational waves in particular.
On April 12 in the Polytechnic Museum of VDNH there will be public meetings held with artists Ale de la Puente and Naum, as well as with the representatives of the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarin. The visitors will also be able to enjoy the theremin concert. The program includes compositions space and gravity-themed.
The exhibition is open daily except Monday, from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. The box office closes one hour before the end of the exhibition. Entrance fee is 150 rubles. For pensioners and students it is 50 rubles (upon presentation of relevant documents, including cards ISIC / ITIC / IYTC). Combined ticket to the exhibitions “The reasons of gravity” and visit the exhibition “Russian innovations and inventions» is 400 rubles for adults and 180 rubles for pensioners and university students.
