The Night at the Museum event, Romeo and Juliet in five languages, and Chemist's Day at the City Farm

Weekend program: during the Night at the Museum event, the Exhibition-Forecast, the Interactive Museum Complex Buran, the "Russia – My History" exposition at the historical park, and the "Russia Does It Alone" exhibition in pavilion No. 26 can be visited for free on Saturday from 6:00 pm to midnight. Other events: the LEGO® Star Wars™ family festival, the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet performed by artists from Brazil, China, South Africa, India, and Russia, and exhibition by Maria Klyueva in support of the Life Route charity foundation.

Night at the Museum 2017 at VDNH

On Saturday, May 20, we invite everyone to the free sightseeing tours around VDNH at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:00 pm, as part of the Night at the Museum event. TAKE-OFF. Exhibition-Forecast in pavilion No. 16 (Hydrometeorology), the Interactive Museum Complex Buran, as well as "Russia – My History" historical multimedia park, including the expositions "The Romanovs" and "1917-1945, From Great Upheavals to Great Victory", and the "Moscow. 1941. Counter-Offensive" 3D panorama will have free entry and will be open for everyone from 6:00 pm to midnight.

The "Russia Does It Alone" exhibition at pavilion No. 26, Transport, which will have free entry from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, will host a number of master classes on creating pieces of art from plastic bottles, which can either taken home afterwards or left for public display at the "Maximum Close-Up" exhibition.

The Robostantsiya, which will operate until 10:00 pm on Saturday, will host a multitude of children's workshops. The children will learn what a smart house is, how to assemble an ecologically friendly greenhouse out of construction kits, and how the eco-transport works. There will be a 30% discount on the exposition admission fee on the day, and participation in the workshops will be free of charge.

A special program is being developed for guests of the City Farm for this weekend. Young farmers will be able to hear interactive lectures on the process of photosynthesis and digestion in ruminant animals, and to imagine that they are inventors and create water filters, to see a chemical show, and to participate in experiments. ATTENTION! There will be a 50% discount on the entrance fee to the farm between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm on May 20, 2017, as part of the Night at the Museum event.

The LEGO® Star Wars™ family festival will take place this weekend, on May 20 and 21, in the square before pavilion No. 57. Star Wars fans will be taught Jedi skills and how to construct 3D models, will see a performance by members of an artistic swordplay club using light sabers, watch the best fragments from the movies, and many other activities. A 'special guest' of the festival will be an R2-D2 robot model made out of LEGO.
Multicultural performances of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet will take place on the stage in the square between the North-1 and North-3 drives at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, as part of the International Festival of Theatre Schools of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

The Park of Crafts

The opening of Maria Klyueva debut exhibition, in support of the Walk of Life charity foundation, which helps people with developmental disorders, will take place in the Park of Crafts lecture hall on the weekend of May 20 and 21. The exhibition will show landscapes, still lifes and other oil paintings by the young artist; it will also be possible to make a contribution to the foundation.

A clothes printing workshop will take place at creative workshop of Olga Baturina on Saturday, May 20, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, in collaboration with designer Julia Mormysheva. A master class on creating abstract collages will take place here on Sunday, with illustrator Nastya Varlamova talking about the technique of collaging, how to combine colors and textures, and the fundamentals of composition.
A two-day workshop by Italian cheese maker Andrea Marasco will take place at School of Cheesemaking of Olesya Shevchuk on May 20 and 21, where participants will be taught how to make mozzarella, burrata, stracchino, caciocavallo, and stracciatella.
The first workshop in a series on painting and decorating ceramics will take place at the Dymov Ceramics Studio on May 20. From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, participants will be able to decorate an earthenware plate with special glazes that spread during baking.
