Wrapping up City Day at VDNH

Moscow celebrated its 874th birthday in style last weekend, 11 and 12 September. To celebrate Moscow's City Day at VDNH is one of Muscovites' and visitors' favourite traditions. The keynote of VDNH's cultural, entertainment and sports programme this year was Moscow Friendship. A total of 98 events were held. The highlights were VDNH Cup in extreme sports, the gala concert at Green Theatre and UAE Week in Moscow. Most visitors flocked to the Museum of the Special-Purpose Garage of the Federal Guard Service of Russia, Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre, Moscow Transport Museum, Slovo Centre, Pavilion No. 10 Republic of Moldova, Pavilion No. 14 Republic of Azerbaijan and Pavilion No. 68 Republic of Armenia. More than 450 people attended history tours in the pavilions.
