New City on the Run quest at VDNH

13 october 2021

On 16 October 2021, VDNH is cordially inviting all of its guests on a new quest tour of its grounds. The quest’s theme is: Space, Robots, Technology. The attendees will find out about the scientific breakthroughs of the past and the present and about how VDNH is tied to them. Admission to the Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre is included in the cost. The quest is open to everyone, regardless of physical fitness.

The quest will begin at 10 a.m. The starting point is VDNH Information Centre (119 Mira Avenue, building 227). The participants will be sent a reminder that the players have been registered, one hour in advance. On 16 October, all quest participants will need to arrive at VDNH, go to the quest’s web page and upload a starting selfie taken at the point indicated by the organisers.

You will need a smartphone to play. The players receive puzzle-like tasks and type their solutions on the City of the Run web site. You don’t actually have to run during this quest: you can walk at a comfortable pace or ride a bike or a scooter. Solution registration ends at 8 p.m. In order to complete the game, press the Finish button. This option will be available even if you did not have enough time to pass all of the quest’s checkpoints.

After the quest is over, all players (regardless of whether they completed it fully or not) proceed to VDNH Information Centre, where they will receive fun mementos. To be eligible for a memento, show the employee at the cash register your phone with the game’s finishing screen.

Prior registration via the web site is required in order to participate. Participation fee: RUB 1,800 per team of 1 to 4 people. Children under the age of 14 must be escorted by an adult to play. Get in touch with the organisers: vdnh@runcity.org.

The City on the Run thematic games began at VDNH on 28 August 2021. The first game in the series was dedicated to the history of VDNH’s creation and to its main landmarks.

All events on VDNH grounds follow the applicable anti-coronavirus restrictions. Visitors to VDNH museums and exhibition spaces are expected to wear face masks and observe social distancing. Click here for more information about the anti-coronavirus measures at VDNH.
