Concerts at VDNH: world classics, favourite soundtracks and a tribute to Stevie Wonder

Russia's Main Exhibition invites visitors to concerts at the greenhouse of Pavilion No. 14 Azerbaijan and the VDNH House of Culture from 18 until 21 November. Live music lovers will enjoy Queen and Stevie Wonder's hits, Interstellar soundtracks, world classical music, masterpieces from famous films, original meditative compositions and a performance by NÉOrchestra virtuosos.

On 18 November, popular music by the iconic rock band Queen will be performed by Simple Music Ensemble. The musicians will play numerous hits, including We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, I Want To Break Free, A Kind Of Magic, We Are The Champions and The Show Must Go On.

On 19 November, Simple Music Ensemble will play soundtracks from Interstellar. Hans Zimmer who composed music for the film has received an Oscar, two Golden Globes and three Grammy Awards. The concert will reinterpret Zimmer's original compositions for a unique set of acoustic and electronic instruments.

On 20 November, African American singer and participant of The Voice and X-Factor Main Stage, Arsen Mukendi will give a concert dedicated to Stevie Wonder. The Portraits of Stevie Wonder show includes the musician's iconic pieces as well as other popular songs that Mukendi will perform in funk, blues and soul styles.

On 21 November, NÉOrchestra virtuosos will play music by contemporary composers—Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Chilly Gonzales, Ólafur Arnalds.

On 21 November, classical masterpieces from all over the world and famous soundtracks will be performed at the VDNH House of Culture by laureates of Russian and international competitions, Lyubov Yurieva (harp) and Anna Penkina (violin). The audience will get to enjoy original interpretations of famous music by P. Tchaikovsky, A. Vivaldi, F. Chopin and other outstanding composers.

On 21 November, the Triangular Sleep band will perform the Ethnic Music Universe programme featuring original meditative compositions with Indian, Turkish, Greek, Iranian and Georgian rhythms.

The maximum number of concert visitors is limited for safety reasons. QR codes are not required. Visitors are expected to wear face masks and keep a social distance at the venue.
