From 2 to 9 April at VDNH, an exhibition of advanced samples of the machine-building complex of Belarus and Russia will be held. The event is timed to coincide with the Day of Unity of the peoples of the two countries, which is annually celebrated on 2 April.
On 2 April at 12:00 p.m., the opening ceremony of the exhibition will be attended by A.L. Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, D.V. Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, P.A. Parkhomchik, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, V.I. Semashko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation.
On this day, guests also may expect a cultural programme with the participation of bright creative teams, including the Ludmila Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble 'Russia' and the Moscow State Academic Dance Theatre 'Gzhel' and Olesya Evstigneeva, the Honoured Artist of Russia.
The exhibition will be held from 2 to 9 April from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the open area between pavilion No 18, Belarus, and pavilion No 57, Russia—My History. Leading prototypes and operational samples of industrial, agricultural, fire and civil ground and air machinery of Russia and Belarus will be presented by such manufacturers as KAMAZ and KAMAZ-Master, St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, Rostselmash, Merkator, Gomselmash, BELAZ, JSC MAZ—managing company of Belavtomaz Holding, Minsk Tractor Plant, Amkodor Center, Belgee, Russian Helicopters, UAZ, GAZ, as well as the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.
From 1 to 3 April, the territory of the exhibition will host a fair of products of Belarusian manufacturers. Admission to all events is free.
Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, which symbolises the unbreakable friendship and brotherhood of the two countries, is celebrated since 1996. Celebrations are held in the two countries annually on 2 April.
