On 2 April, VDNH will be one of the venues for the All-Russian Inclusive Festival #PeopleLikePeople, timed to coincide with the World Autism Awareness Day. In honour of the event, the architectural objects of the Exhibition will be illuminated in blue as a sign of solidarity with people living with an autism spectrum disorder.
On this day, VDNH together with the Ya Est Fund and other partners of the festival will hold free lectures, workshops, a concert and a charity fair.
The main events will take place at the VDNH's House of Culture. Activities will also take place at the Slavic Literature Centre Slovo and other venues of VDNH. In the evening, the Main Entrance Arch, Worker and Kolkhoz Woman Pavilion and Central Pavilion will be lit in blue.
From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., VDNH's House of Culture will hold various creative and informative workshops for adults and children. The guests will take classes in intuitive drawing, cardboard sewing, willow weaving, creating photo frames and decorative toys and painting fabric bags. There will be Nordic walking sessions, a family dance class, roller skating and an art expedition. Also, there will be unusual workshops with specially trained therapy dogs.
From 1:30 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. at the lecture hall, specialists will acquaint guests with the specifics of inclusive education, the peculiarities of communication between children and their peers and the work of speech therapists.
From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the advisory platform of the festival, visitors will be able to communicate with medical professionals, psychologists, psychotherapists and teachers on the development and education of children.
During the charity fair from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., all guests can get acquainted with Albert, the application of alternative communication, buy specialised literature, toys and souvenirs, handmade by the wards of fund.
From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., guests will be entertained by a festive concert programme: theatrical performances, songs, playing instruments and dance routines with the participation of inclusive children's creative teams. Participation in all activities is free, without registration.
The guests of the festival are also welcomed at other venues of VDNH. On 2 April, Slavic Literature Centre Slovo will host inclusive classes. At 3 p.m., I Dream Of Making Friends film will be screened at the Museum of Film at VDNH. It will be presented by the producers of the film and the founders of the charitable foundation Ya Est, actors Egor Beroev and Ksenia Alferova. Please, register here.

The Museum of the Special Purpose Garage of the FSO of Russia invites participants of the festival to view the main exhibition, visit the interactives—Virtual Fitting Room and Virtual Motorcade,—as well as take pictures in the car for free. The City Farm organises free workshops on making bookmarks and hay people, as well as walks with animals. Registration in advance is required.
In the Children's Embassy, guests will learn how to make origami and wooden toys, candles from beeswax and sculpt in clay.
