Musical concerts continue at VDNH's Pavilion No. 14 Republic of Azerbaijan. While the weather in Moscow constantly changes, the pavilion's greenhouse is always warm and cosy. From 7 to 15 May, VDNH visitors will be able to enjoy masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Gershwin, Strauss and other great composers, neoclassical music, Celtic motifs and arias by Italian composers performed by the mezzo-soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya. The events will follow all Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection (Rospotrebnadzor) recommendations.
On 7 May at 8 p.m., a saxophone quartet will perform masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Gershwin, Strauss and other great composers of the past centuries at VDNH's Pavilion No. 14. The programme will be complemented by Piazzolla's passionate tango, touching soundtracks from the films The Toy, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Beware of the Car and Walking the Streets of Moscow, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody, a song of one of the most successful bands in the history of rock music...
On 8 May, the greenhouse of Pavilion No. 14 will be filled with the music of modern classics such as Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Chilly Gonzales, Ólafur Arnalds and Joe Hisaishi. It will be performed by NÉOrchestra. The visitors will be able to enjoy majestic string and piano music. The concert will also feature selected works by new composers.
On 13 May at 8 p.m., the Classy Jazz orchestra will give a concert titled Celtic Treasures. The programme will include Irish and Scottish folk songs in the masterful arrangements of Oleg Matveyev and a complete immersion in Celtic culture: Scottish bagpipes, organ, saxophone, clarinet, grand piano, drums and Irish whistle combined with a breathtaking video sequence.
On 15 May at 8 p.m., world opera star and mezzo-soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya will perform masterpieces by Italian composers at VDNH. The programme will include arias from the operas by V. Bellini and G. Rossini: I Capuleti e i Montecchi, La Cenerentola, The Barber of Seville and Armide. Vasilisa Berzhanskaya is a soloist of Deutsche Oper Berlin, a graduate of the Bolshoi Theatre youth opera programme and a finalist of the Grand Opera television contest. She performs at the world's leading opera festivals: the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and the Salzburg Opera Festival. Elizaveta Dmitrieva will play the piano.
The concerts are organised in accordance with social distancing requirements while seated. The hall has limited capacity to 50% due to health-related restrictions. All visitors must wear masks and gloves.
