The country's main exhibition is today open to both foot and vehicular traffic. VDNH is now introducing new fees for motor vehicles entering the grounds of the exhibition. They will allow motorists to save money by driving into the grounds during certain hours, while at the same time allowing for a more efficient management of car park occupancy.
A vehicle can enter the exhibition grounds on a one-time pass. The pass is purchased when going through a checkpoint, valid for 12 hours. A pass for a car or bicycle costs RUB 700 on weekdays and RUB 1,200 at weekends and during holidays.
At the moment, new fees have been introduced that include discounts from the base rates. Therefore, during the night from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m., the 12-hour pass costs RUB 250. A night pass can be used to enter the exhibition grounds through all open checkpoints until 8:00 a.m.
Special rates are available for vehicles entering the grounds through checkpoint North-1. Every day from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., vehicles can drive onto the Exhibition grounds through this entrance for RUB 500, while from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the fee is RUB 350. This price is for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles with an authorised maximum weight of up to 3.5 tonnes.
Drivers should bear in mind that on weekdays, from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and at weekends and during holidays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., vehicular traffic is only permitted within the perimeter car parks located next to the checkpoints.
VDNH offers a range of options for visitors who prefer to use public transport. There are special public transport stops and Yandex.Taxi hailing counters. There is free e-bus service on the ring road. On the exhibition premises, the patch between VDNH and Botanicheskiy Sad metro stations is served by bus route No. 533. Mobility-impaired visitors are offered accessible vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps.
