The Apollo-Soyuz programme, dedicated to the early cooperation between the Soviet Union and the USA. In the early 1970s, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) proposed to the USSR that they carry out a human-controlled docking of two spaceships orbiting the Earth. Two working groups were set up to agree on the technical requirements concerning the compatibility of the USSR's Soyuz spacecraft and the USA's Apollo spacecraft. On 15 July 1975, Soyuz-19 was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. On the same day, Apollo was launched from the American cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral. On 17 July, the two spacecraft docked.

On 18 July, at 4:00 p.m., the Youth Innovation Creativity Centre will offer a new Space Digest. Denis Prudnik and participants will discuss the launching of the first module of the Chinese space station and the spacewalk conducted by the Chinese taikonauts. They will also discuss preparations being made to expand the Russian segment of the International Space Station by connecting it to Nauka (Science), a Russian multifunctional laboratory module. It is expected to lift off to join the International Space station in July 2021. Prudnik will tell you about the previous launches of another Russian cargo spacecraft, Progres (progress), and the takeoff of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with a batch of 36 satellites made by OneWeb, a British company. Besides, the participants will discuss the preparation of the onboard equipment for the Luna (Moon) 25 mission scheduled for launch in October 2021.
