Date of Construction, Architect

Pavilion No. 39 was built in 1939 by the architect A. F. Zhukov.

Background

The pavilion was designed as a kolkhoz (collective farm) automatic hydroelectric power station on the river Kamenka. It had a capacity of 12 kW.

In the mid-1950s, the building was renamed Pond Farming and renovated on the outside. Its aquariums featured freshwater creatures and it held themed exhibitions.

Status

An object of historical value foundational to the city.
