The Mentor All-Russian Forum

On 13–15 February 2018, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives will hold the first Mentor All-Russian Forum aimed at developing a professional mentoring environment. The forum will be held at Pavilion No. 75 at VDNH and will unite several thousand people involved in mentoring at their enterprises: acting mentors and HR representatives from some of the largest state and business corporations, federal and regional authorities, and employees of non-profit organisations and educational institutions.

Business programme

The forum programme consists of 4 main blocks: Mentoring in the Production Plant, Mentoring in Business and Entrepreneurship, Mentoring in the Social Sphere, Mentoring in Education and Group Movement.

A separate track will be the Mentorhack hackathon to create IT solutions to further develop the movement. Hackathon participants will be charged with developing services to conduct the search and selection of mentors, track efficiency and optimise mentoring processes.

The Best Mentoring Practices contest

The forum will include The Best Mentoring Practices, a competition aimed at identifying successful solutions that can be replicated and implemented, as well as presenting them in wide format at regional and federal levels.

The contest will include five nominations:

  • Mentor in the Production Plant.
  • Mentor in Business and Entrepreneurship.
  • Mentor in Education and Group Movement.
  • Mentor in the Social Sphere.
  • Children teach Children.

The prize for first place in each nomination is RUB 300,000.
For second place in each nomination – RUB 200,000.
For third place in each nomination – RUB 100,000.

Two personal nominations have also been confirmed:

  • The Mentor of the Year grand prix for champions of mentoring who have taught several generations of young professionals. The prize is RUB 300,000.
  • Manager of the Year — a head of an enterprise (of more than 5000 employees) who personally takes part in mentoring. A monetary award is not provided.
