Listeners will learn funny and sad cases from their relationship, discuss the similarities and differences in styles and talk about how to be sure if it's Manet or Monet you're looking at. The lecturer will be the art historian Elena Zabrodina. Participation is free, by registration.
On 10 April at 4:00 p.m., Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre will host The Art and the Perception of Space in the 20th Century lecture. Together with art historian Diana Dzhangveladze, participants will talk about the development of astronomy and art in the 20th century, one of the most turbulent periods in history. Fritz Zwicky, Albert Einstein, Sergey Korolev and Konstantin Tsiolkovsky are just a few of the outstanding scientists whose scientific work will be discussed at the meeting. Guests will also learn about Russian cosmism, what space art is and how Alexey Leonov—the first man in the world to go into outer space—is associated with this trend. Please, register here.
On the same day at 5:00 p.m., guests of VDNH may enjoy the premiere of the literary and educational programme—Bella Akhmadulina.
