Exhibition of space painting contest winners at VDNH

25 may 2021

On 26 May, the territory of the Northern Rosary at VDNH will host an exhibition of the winning paintings from the contest: Best Painting about Space. Visitors can see the best 108 paintings out of more than 10,000 contest submissions.

26 May to 1 June, VDNH will host the exhibition of the winners in the Best Painting about Space contest, which took place as part of the Russian national campaign entitled Dreams about Space. The campaign was held across Russia from 10 to 12 April 2021, scheduled to coincide with Cosmonautics Day and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight.

More than 108 winning paintings will be displayed on the street stands of the Аlley of the 50th Аnniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, opposite the Northern Rose Garden. The winning number 108 was chosen because it was the number of minutes that Yuri Gagarin spent in space in 1961. The paintings were selected from more than 10,000 submissions. Among those selected include representatives of 38 Russian regions.

The exhibition is being held with support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and JSC VDNH.

All VDNH events comply with anti-coronavirus regulations. Visitors to VDNH museums and exhibition spaces must wear face masks, gloves, and observe social distancing. You can find more information on anti-coronavirus measures at VDNH here.
