On 13 June at 12:00 p.m., the Slovo Centre for Slavic Writing at VDNH will host a tea party/puppet show based on Korney Chukovsky's fairy tale Little Fly So Sprightly. The event is being held as part of the educational project Knowledge.VDNH. Attendance is free, but advanced registration is required.
On 13 June, the Slovo Centre for Slavic Writing at VDNH is offering a free interactive performance entitled Little Fly So Sprightly aimed at playfully introducing children to the classic piece of Russian children's literature. Actors and their puppets will take their audience into the world of tiny creatures, where a no-nonsense world reigns. The carefully crafted puppets look like the insects featured in Korney Chukovsky's classic piece; however, their miniature faces and movements convey very human feelings and emotions. The theatrical performance shows how courage and love are found even in the world of insects.
Tea from a real samovar will be served to the audience during the performance, along with milk and gingerbread. The event will be held in full compliance with all applicable epidemiological restrictions. Visitors are required to observe social distancing and wear face masks and gloves.
Admission is free of charge, but advanced registration is required. Audience attendence is limited up to 50.
Participants in the VDNH Friends loyalty programme will receive a discount on tickets for Slovo Centre for Slavic Writing and other exhibition venues. For a full and regularly updated list of the partner venues of the programme, see the page of the programme on the VDNH website.
