Some of the sites of Russia's No. 1 exhibition complex will be changing their hours for the period between 31 December 2020 and 10 January 2021. Due to the restrictions for the time being in force, there will be no mass entertainments. All visitors are required to follow the safety prescriptions of the Federal Consumer Supervision Service.
The skating rinks and the photo installation Discovering Antarctica Together
The VDNH Skating Rink on Main Alley will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on 31 December, and from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. on 1 January. The weekend schedule will apply for the rest of the New Year's holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 11:00 p.m.
The skating rink in Ostankino Park will be open 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on 31 December, and for a limited time in the evening of 1 January: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The rink will operate on its regular schedule on 2 through 10 January: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
The children's snowmobile and ATV riding ground between Pavilion No. 64 and the food court will be open 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on 31 December through 10 January.
The street photo installation on Industry Square, titled Discovering Antarctica Together, will stay open to visitors.
Museums and pavilions
The following facilities will be temporarily closed to visitors until 15 January: Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre, Slovo Centre, VDNH Museum, Buran Interactive Museum Complex, Museum of Dolls, Worker and Kolkhoz Woman Pavilion, Museum of Oriental Art, Film Museum, Technograd Complex and Pchelovodstvo Centre. There will be no events at the House of Culture, Chess Club, Fairy Tale Theatre, or Pavilion No. 67.
The VDNH Excursion Office will be open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 31 December, 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on 1 January and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. all other days.
The Moskvarium Centre of Oceanography and Marine Biology will be open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 31 December, and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on 1 January. The Moskvarium will operate on its regular schedule all other days: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The seasonal musical Around the World on New Year's Eve, featuring marine animals and circus actors, will be playing on the water stage all through the holidays. The shows start at 11:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Spectators will be seated in full compliance with the safety prescriptions, subject to an upper limit of 25% on auditorium occupancy. Spectators are welcome to supplement their Moskvarium impressions with the excitement of the Aquarium exhibit, which is home to over 12,000 sea creatures. The Moskvarium has taken every possible measure to assure a safe and comfortable environment for visitors and staff in all areas of the complex.
The Robostation will be operating in the Undercover Robopranks mode, which comprises a series of Christmas shows. Russia, My History park: closed on 31 December and 1 January, open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 2–10 January. Moscow Mock-up Pavilion: closed on 31 December and 1 January, regular hours thereafter: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Neft Interactive Pavilion: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on 31 December, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on 3, 5 and 10 January, closed on 1, 2 and 4 January. The International Ballet Centre will be closed 31 December through 10 January.
The Book Pavilion: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 31 December, closed 1 and 2 January, regular hours all other days. 360MAX VR Cinema: Closed 31 December and 1 January, open Noon to 10:00 p.m. on 2–10 January.
